Q: Is there a minimum fundraising amount?
A: No minimum! Every dollar counts. However, fundraisers raising over $500 may be eligible for additional support or recognition from our team.
Q: When do funds get transferred to Race With Us?
A: Donations are processed directly through our secure fundraising platform and transferred to Race With Us Foundation regularly. You will see real-time tracking on your page.
Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?
A: Race With Us Foundation has applied for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status with the IRS. If our application is approved, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will provide acknowledgment receipts and notify all donors upon receipt of our IRS determination letter. At this time, we cannot guarantee deductibility.
Q: Can I raise money for a specific patient or family?
A: Race With Us Foundation provides grants to established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations rather than direct individuals to maintain compliance with IRS regulations. However, you can honor a specific person through your fundraiser story, and funds will support organizations that help patients like them.
Q: What if I don't reach my goal?
A: No problem! Every contribution supports our mission regardless of whether the goal is met.
Q: Can I sell awareness ribbons as part of my fundraiser?
A: Yes! Contact us to order ribbons ($100 each). You can sell them at your event or include them as a donation tier on your page. Proceeds count toward your fundraising total.
